Volunteer Spotlight: Dave Pitman

What makes a website effective? How do you pick the best web host for your organization? These are the types of questions volunteer Dave Pitman helped this year's TechLaunch recipients answer during a recent TechLaunch training session on web concepts.

Trained in computer science and engineering at MIT, Pitman is the technology director and interaction design guru for local web company Vestal Design.

"I enjoy working with T4T because it helps nonprofits realize the full potential that technology has to further their mission," Pitman said. "I believe that nonprofits are often the most in need of modern technology, yet often the least aware of what is out there. T4T bridges that gap."

When he's not designing websites or studying Artificial Intelligence, Pitman enjoys kayaking and reading up on architecture and foreign languages.

"Nonprofits have really great ideas which would work well in a medium like the Internet. My work with T4T helps nonprofits discover what they are fully capable of doing."

T4T Colorado couldn't do what we do best without the help of our great volunteer team. Interested in lending a hand to the nonprofit tech cause? Contact the Program Director. We'd love to hear from you.
